A Year of Shelter Life: Through One Cat's Eyes

Hey guys, it's me.  Regina.

So, I've got a big announcement for you.

Today marks the day of my one year Shelter-versary.

I know.  365 days of shelter life.  It may not be much to celebrate, but it's a milestone nonetheless.  A year is a long time to be living in a shelter, or so I hear from my volunteer friends.  But I've learned a lot during my stay at HSSV, like if you eat the kibble, more will magically appear in your bowl; and the best way to catch the feather wand is to climb to the tippy-top of the cat tree.  I've made quite a few friends here, too.  They come and visit me every day, play with me and give me lots of love.  I have a whole lot of friends, actually.  I mean, why wouldn't I?  I'm smart, talented, not to mention gorgeous.  I'm pretty much the whole package.

But I'm still hoping that perfect person will walk through the doors and give me a real home.

Maybe you have one we can share?  Maybe one with lots of cat trees to climb, or a laser light!  Those are awesome.

But most of all, just a home with a warm lap to lay in, that would be even more awesome.  Maybe that person will turn my Shelter-versary into my ADOPT-aversary!
That would be the most awesomest thing of all.

This year will be my year.  I just know it.
